Minutes of a remote meeting held on Thursday 5th November 2020.
Present Couns Stanley, Abbott, Burdall, Hawkins, Lovell, Lunn, and L & R Wray.
69/20 APOLOGIES were received and accepted from Couns King and Grocock who may attend later due to another meeting.
70/20 POLICE REPORT – nothing to report.
71/20 TO RECEIVE DECLARATION OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011 none
72/20 DRAFT NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes. Proposed Coun R Wray seconded Coun Burdall.
73/20 MATTERS ARISING – Christmas trees in village. Lights purchased for central tree. Costing fresh and synthetic trees for brackets.
74/20 TO DISCUSS REMEMBRANCE SERVICE.
Vicar advised the church would not be open for a service. Chair had spoken to him regarding the disappointment of not honouring the fallen as normal. Chair having spoken with neighbouring villages and South Holland District Council had approval for laying a wreath on behalf of the PC and residents at the Arnhem Oak. Ton Gilks would also lay wreath on behalf of the Arnhem Brigade. Anyone wishing to attend must wear a mask and socially distance. Coun L Wray disagreed as we have just entered into second lock down.
75/20 TO DISCUSS/APPROVE CO-OPTION
Three candidates, with application details being forwarded previously to Councillors. On a secret ballot Mark Rollinson was duly appointed.
76/20 IDEA volunteers weeding and replanting. Raffle tickets are now out. Quarry tiles on bandstand being replaced and various other projects being undertaken at a cost of.

H04-0905-20 demolition of former British Legion Hall and erection of 6 dwellings
H04-0947-20 proposed livestock building.
H04-0968-20 erection of dwelling 100 Station Street.
80/20 MEMBERS REPORTS
JS help required please for cleaning out flower tubs and replacing with new plants. Compost and pansies sourced. Four volunteers who can each work on single pots keeping social distance.
JA batteries for water geezer with J Baldwin.
PL Large poppy heads placed around the village, before lock down in time for remembrance day.
Bollard in Market Place has been knocked. Coun Lovell has obtained a heavy duty one which he is prepared to install but unsure should be digging in area in case of utility pipes.
