Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 2nd February 2023 at The Ruby Hunt Centre.
Present Cllrs Stanley, Hawkins, King, Lovell, Lunn, Robinson MBE & R Wray. Clerk Diane Fairweather.
District Cllr Walsh and ten members of the public.
PUBLIC FORUM
Update on fishing club. They are to have defib training. Coronation Cup there is an all-day competition. A Thank-you to the two ward members for their donations. He is hoping to have a Junior ‘get fishing’ event for 16- to 17-year-olds.
MFBHH – when it hopefully now takes place can money be included in next years’ precept for funding towards the event.
PCSO clinic had been a meaningful event, public urged again to send in photographic evidence of wrongful parking in the village. Mr C had also taken pictures outside of the school but had been reprimanded by the teachers. Cllrs Walsh and King met with LCC regarding parking at the school and Fire Station. School to try and work with the children and parking over the issue for the safety of the children.
Significant planning application submitted for renovation works and extensions to Wykes Manor. Owner present to ask if PC had any questions they would like answers to. All agreed works would reinstate the property to it’s previous state and had were in favour.
10/22 APOLOGIES were received and accepted from Cllrs Hodgson, Burdall, Rollinson and L Wray.
11/22 TO RECEIVE DECLARATION OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011
None
12/22 TO RECEIVE DRAFT NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes. Proposed Cllr King seconded Cllr Lovell.
13/22 TO RECEIVE UPDATES FROM CLERK –
Toilets have had deep clean and prospective employee had visited with clerk. Hourly rate of pay to be agreed under Finance in committee.
Replacement doors will cost £3000, as they are on timers which have been piloted in Spalding. Dist. Cllrs Walsh and King have contributed £1000 leaving £1000 for the Council, which would have been the cost of two replacement doors if we had done it ourselves as the shutters are past their sell by date.
Chris Wing is to work on trees week commencing 14th February.
Cllr King advised Heritage Officer attended the Old Peacock and was to speak with resident.
Cllr King advised LCC are looking into the possibility of a mid-carriageway refuge on A52 at Church Street entrance.
14/22 TO RECEIVE UPDATES FROM IDEA
Cllr Lunn advised they had someone to reinstate the newsletter, albeit not to the same glossy standards as before, but details of events and information.
IDEA to advertise for litter picker in park as there is ridiculous amounts of litter, unfortunately some of which is only 5 feet from a bin. June 4th is date for summer fayre in the park. Fire Brigade will put up bunting in the village again and Cllr Hawkins is trying to organise a fly past.
15/22 TO RECEIVE FINANCE REPORT
To Discuss hourly rate for toilet, lock up and clean. In committee
To discuss replacement doors at toilets.
Council payments authorised as per schedule.
Prop Cllr King seconded Cllr Hawkins.
16/22 TO RECEIVE LIBRARY UPDATES
Nothing to report other than further craft events have been organised.
Have changed lights to LED in a cost saving exercise.
17/22 TO DISCUSS PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED THIS MONTH.
H04-0037-23 proposed replacement dwelling 11 Badgate Road. No objections
H04-0027-23 internal and external alterations, extensions and partial demolition of out buildings to form storage, workshop and swimming pool. Support.
18/22 TO RECEIVE MEMBERS REPORTS
JK – Antoinette had asked if PC has any objections to the Market being changed from Saturday to Sunday. PC had no objections.
GL – could there be posters for volunteers for church assistance and litter pickers. Cllr Lovell to put together poster.

19/22 In Committee – 15 year old interested in taking on toilets. £4.81 is the Government suggested hourly rate but Cllr Lovell felt this is not acceptable. Following discussion it was agreed £7.50 be offered to the applicant.
