Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 2nd March 2023 at The Ruby Hunt Centre.
Present Cllrs Stanley, Burdall, Hawkins, King, Lovell, Lunn, Robinson MBE, &
R Wray. Clerk Diane Fairweather and eight members of the public
Not Present: Cllrs Hodgson, Rollinson and L Wray, Dist Cllr S Walsh.
PUBLIC FORUM
Reports of sheep in Badgate with no food throughout the winter.
It was asked in cameras are working as it is never reported if any convictions made.
Dog fouling a continual problem.
Towndam Lane from Mill Lane to A152 in extremely poor condition. Cllr King reported to Highways. There is no signage from Mill Lane before turning that road is unsuitable for HGV’s.
POLICE REPORT
Shop lifting in the Market Place
Four violent assault crimes in Gleed Avenue
Arson and criminal damage Park Lane
One crime violence in Chestnut Avenue
One criminal and arson in Barnes Road with a violent assault.
1 violence in Beech Grove.
20/22 APOLOGIES were received and accepted from Cllr Rollinson, L Wray, and Dist Cllr Walsh
21/22 TO RECEIVE declaration of interest in accordance with the localism act 2011

22/22 TO RECEIVE DRAFT NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes. Proposed Cllr King seconded Cllr Hawkins.
23/22 TO RECEIVE UPDATES FROM CLERK –
Trees in Market Place obviously done.
Toilet ready to open tomorrow if wages get approved in finance.
UKSPF – awaiting response from Dist Cllr Bingham on what he submitted when he entered our interest. We have plenty of time it is not first come first served basis.

24/22 TO RECEIVE UPDATES FROM iDEA
Tesco Rewards – came 3rd received £500.
Voluntary Car Scheme has no drivers.
Cllr King and Lunn litter pick Wednesdays but do require a replaced.
Notice board requires attention. Putting in for Lottery Grant again.
25/22 TO RECEIVE FINANCE REPORT
Council payments authorised as per schedule.
Prop Cllr King seconded Cllr Hawkins.
Electrics in Market Place. £795 to make safe, put in out external socket and a RCD, generally make safe and to British Standards. Proposed Cllr Lovell seconded Cllr Hawkins to proceed.
26/22 TO RECEIVE Library UPDATES
Another Police Surgery Tuesday 7th March. If residents do not use they will lose it.
27/22 TO DISCUSS Planning APPLICATIONS RECEIVED THIS MONTH.
Nothing this month.
28/22 TO RECEIVE MEMBERS REPORTS
PL – cemeteries looking clean now. Details of elections to be put on website.
NB – Is it possible to have double yellow lines in Park Lane/Gleed Avenue. Cllr King to request.
GL - Stephen Wright asking again regarding pond Lease. In hand but documents didn’t agree with original Lease.
Resident living near toilets believe there is some drug dealing happening at toilets.
RW – potholes in Northorpe Road still
29/22 TO RECEIVE CORRESPONDENCE
LCC have a volunteer team that will do jobs in village if Council provide materials. Only one allowed per District Councillor. If PC purchase paint could we put I request to paint the pebble dash on toilets, if no further suggestions proposal have to be given by 31st March.
