Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 4th November 2021 at the Church Hall Donington
Present Cllrs Stanley, Burdall, Hawkins, King, Lovell, Lunn, Robinson, L & R Wray. 7 members of the public and a press representatives
PUBLIC FORUM
Paul from Young Dons football requesting assistance from the Council for funding towards potable goals. Grant monies have been received for portable floodlights. They are also wishing to source portable goals and kits. Documents are almost completed with Community Centre for a 30-year lease, which will then allow building new changing room, café for parents.
Reports drain in Highfield Road requires attention. Cllr R Wray to speak with BSIDB.
Mill Lane pond. Angling will help if it requires cleaning.
There had been an open meeting for a future Youth Club with positive feedback. A second meeting is to be arranged.
Parish Council is invited to the inaugural presentation evening of Donington Angling Club.

105/21 DRAFT NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes. Proposed Cllr Cllr King seconded Cllr L Wray.

107/21 TO DISCUSS DONATION TOWARDS INSURANCE FOR JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS NEXT YEAR to be discussed at precept meeting.
108/21 TO DISCUSS MERITS/DISADVANTAGES OF HAVING DONINGTON REINSTATED AS A MARKET PLACE
Public consultation to ascertain yes or no from residents.
109/21 UPDATE ON THE TIDYING/PRUNING/GAP FILLERS OF HUNTERS WAY.
Cllr Lovell felt works were required to the tidy area. Clerk advised contractors had been but suggested Cllr Lovell had site meeting to see what further was required.
110/21 TO DISCUSS/APPROVE DONATION TOWARDS CILCA TRAINING FOR CLERK
The clerk had previously advised that the cost of training and exam would be £600 of which Bicker PC had already agreed to donate. To be taken in closed session.
111/21 TO DISCUSS DONATION TO YOUNG DONS TOWARDS PORTABLE GOALS
Quotations for equipment required to be sent to Clerk so that this may be discussed at precept meeting.
112/21 IDEA
Firework display arranged. A large number of daffodil bulbs had been donated for Donington from Johnsons Garden Centre.
Rubbish bin for green waste required. Clerk to request details from existing contracts to be discussed at precept.

116/21 CORRESPONDENCE -
A Waters, asking for assistance regarding the use of the football fields behind the primary school. Lincs Swifts, the all-girls team, have been playing. Young Dons agree and they are quite willing to pay rent. Have now been told they cannot play there. SORTED WITH Cowley Foundation
IDEA thank you for CCTV monies.
Angling Club thank you for your donation.
117/21 MEMBERS REPORTS
PL - Market Place wall had been knocked down again. Bollard was also knocked over causing a hazard risk. Retracting Industrial one required.
NB – reiterating the positivity of the Youth Club meeting. The youth want somewhere to go and something to do. Planters at Magnum require attention. Could local groups be approached to keep them clean again? i.e. Brownies, Young Dons. Can coloured lights be put on a central tree as well as white? Letter received regarding Market also to be taken in closed session. The stallholders were parking in the 30 mins spaces all day and they had to be advised only to park there to unload. Some stallholders were refused as already had one with their wares. Anyone should be allowed to attend. Concerns also over liability insurance. Cllr Lovell to speak with A Young to clarify these comments.

TO DISCUSS/APPROVE DONATION TOWARDS CILCA TRAINING FOR CLERK
The clerk left the meeting. On return, it had been resolved to support the clerk in this qualification and to also donate towards the cost.
Letter of complaint received from shop owner regarding the inconsiderate placing of market stalls blocking windows
