Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 2nd September 2021 at the Church Hall
Present Cllrs Stanley, Abbott, Burdall, Hawkins, King, Lovell, Lunn, Robinson, Rollinson, L & R Wray. Nine members of the public and a press representative.
PUBLIC FORUM
Jane Pearson advising the service for Arnhem Oak will be held on 25th September and Remembrance service 14th November, both having church services.
MFBHH will be 2024 now. 250 years from the year of his birth.
Paul Slater, blocked drains in Station Street and overgrown hedgerows on footpath at the approach, reported by a resident.
Three girls attending the fishing group the previous evening. Advised there is nothing for teenagers to do in village. Suggested they put thoughts to PC by attending the meeting. Girls asked if there could be a zip wire in the Teen Park. Also suggested would be nice to have a place to meet undercover. Cllr Lovell advised there used to be a Youth Club, but it required supervision. Girls to put word out for anyone interested in starting Youth Club again.
Clerk to speak with Margaret Wright regarding zip wire.

92/21 DRAFT NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes. Proposed Cllr R Wray seconded Cllr King.

Discussions regarding trees in Flinders Park not yet taken place.
Complaint from resident in Kensington Close.
106 monies, Cllr Burdall advised to speak with Youngs Dons Football Club to produce details of their requirements for goals.
94/21 TO DISCUSS DONATION TO ANGLING CLUB
Paul Slater previously distributed a detailed business plan, but clerk reiterated 106 monies could not be used. Thirty-five members now various grants obtained together with funding from District Councillors. £1,000 put aside in precept budgets for unexpected donations. Council all agreed a worthy cause, proposed Cllr Rollinson and seconded Cllr Lovell £720 donated for Angling Club life vests.

Thank you letter from IDEA for donation towards CCTV.

JS- weeds in Market Place, are litter picking still clearing area?
JK -confirmation that Kitchen No 1 require licence to have tables and chairs on Market Place. Another meeting arrange to discuss toilets.
GL – could request be made to Highways for Church Lane to made one-way due to congestion with school buses.
101/21 ANY OTHER BUSINESS –. Still have ‘sheds’ on wheels in Station Street and Church Street, can nothing be done. Clerk previously requested of Highways but owners not breaking law.
Clerk to try again to have double yellow lines in Church Street extended further round the bend. Heavy traffic and parking on both sides will cause an accident.
Twenty street light poppies required from Remembrance donation.
